Apple Inc.’s suppliers have started manufacturing new iPads, according to people with knowledge of the matter, as the company works to reinvigorate sales of the tablet computers after two straight quarters of declines.
A group of technology companies, including Facebook Inc., Google Inc. and Apple Inc., opposed the bill because of what it called an “unacceptable loophole that could enable the bulk collection of Internet users’ data.”
The case is one of several between Apple and Google’s Motorola Mobility unit. Neither one has been able to strike a significant blow against the other, despite lawsuits in the U.S. and Germany. Google inherited the case when it bought Motorola Mobility
