The U.S.-based equity markets are pointing to a higher open this morning. Asian markets closed mostly higher  in the overnight session. European markets are mixed heading into the afternoon session.

Today’s economic activity data will provide greater color with respect to the CPI and core CPI relationship. Analysts will also be looking for the information from the various U.S. banking regions in the Beige Book to indicate whether consensus exists with the most recent fed speakers’ commentaries.

Earnings ramp up this week, analysts will be looking for investment banking earnings and revenues.
