Hedge fund report card

May 21, 2016 01:00 PM

TipRanks tracks hedge funds on a daily basis. While many are familiar with the iconic hedge funds run by George Soros and Warren Buffet, the most profitable hedge funds are run by businessmen most people have never heard of.

Hedge fund managers often invest their own funds, aligning their interest with participants. The manager typically receives an annual management fee and a performance fee. The industry standard is 2% (management fee) and 20% (performance fee) but fees vary and are often negotiable based on the size of an allocation. Below are the most profitable hedge funds as of April 1, 2016. Returns are measured over the last quarter, the last year and the last three years.
