Chi-X® Australia Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of market operator Chi-X® Global Holdings LLC, has appointed Peter Warton as Head of Market Operations. Peter joins from Tibra, where he served as Global Head of IT Operations. Throughout Peter’s 25 year career working with financial markets and platforms, he has gained extensive experience in software development, market connectivity, client services management and market operations.
- ADM's Juan Luciano to take over as CEO
Archer-Daniels-Midland Co. (ADM) appointed Juan R. Luciano as chief executive officer, replacing Patricia Woertz, who will remain chairman of the world's largest corn processor.
Luciano, currently president and chief operating officer of the Chicago-based company, will assume the new role on Jan. 1, according to a statement. Woertz is expected to retire in May 2016, the company said. Luciano, who joined ADM in 2011, took over as president from Woertz in February and oversees commercial and production activities of ADM’s corn, oilseeds and agricultural-services businesses, as well as research, project management and risk management.
- Minneapolis Grain Exchange announces new Board members
At its Oct. 28, 2014 Organizational Meeting, the Minneapolis Grain Exchange Board of Directors named 2014-2015 public directors and Board officers and approved committee assignments.
Four public directors were appointed by the Board: Steve Fanady and William R. Power will each serve one year terms while Michael V. Dunn and Alan J. Swimmer will each serve two year terms.
The Board also elected officers and members of the executive committee. Richard A. Dusek was named Board chairperson; Christopher T. Matzdorf was elected first vice chairperson; Martin F. Farrell was named second vice chairperson. Public directors Steve Fanady and William R. Power complete the executive committee.
The Board appointed chairpersons for committees of the Board of Directors and standing committees of the corporation. A list is below.

- Luis Téllez Kuenzler announces resignation as chairman and general director of the Mexican Stock Exchange
The Mexican Stock Exchange Group announced that during a recent session of the Board of Directors, Luis Téllez Kuenzler announced his decision to step down as Chairman and CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2015, to pursue new projects.
Mr. Téllez expressed before the Board of Directors that, since his term began in May 2009, he has been proud of promoting the stock market, generating value for the company and looking after the interests of the BMV Group. He emphasized his desire for the Group to continue with the modernization and expansion process of the brokerage activities, where the BMV and its business divisions can go on consolidating their sphere of influence within the Mexican financial system.
- JP Morgan Chase appoints new head of investment banking for UAE
JP Morgan Chase has appointed Majed al-Mesmari as its head of investment banking coverage for the United Arab Emirates, the U.S. bank said in a statement on Thursday.
Mesmari joins from Rothschild, where he was a director of global financial advisory services for five years.
He will report to Karim Tannir, JP Morgan's head of investment banking for the Middle East and North Africa, the statement added.
- NASDAQ OMX Executive Vice President retires after more than 30 years in company
NASDAQ OMX announced today that senior executive John L. Jacobs will retire after more than 30 years of leadership and service to the company.
Effective January 2, 2015, Mr. Jacobs will retire from his position as Executive Vice President of Global Information Services, comprising the company's data products and index services businesses. Mr. Jacobs has agreed to serve as a strategic advisor to the company through 2015. The company has begun an internal and external search for his successor.
- Neptune Investment Management's head of UK wholesale leaves after restructuring
Neptune Investment Management's head of UK wholesale, Adam Hughes, has exited the group following a restructure of the business. Neptune has split its sales force to focus on UK discretionary wealth managers, UK strategic partnerships and advisers, and the Swiss and Benelux wholesale markets, with a number of internal changes made to help the group focus on the three channels.

- R.J. O’Brien & Associates Appoints Paul Goodhew as Head of Global Markets at R.J. O’Brien (UK) Limited Affiliate
R.J. O’Brien & Associates (RJO), the oldest and largest independent futures brokerage and clearing firm in the United States, announced the appointment of industry veteran Paul Goodhew, 45, as Senior Vice President and Head of Global Markets at its London-based R.J. O’Brien (UK) Limited affiliate. In that role, he will focus on expanding the operation’s institutional commodity brokerage business, including energy, as well as fixed income, rates and equity derivatives.
Goodhew has spent his entire career in futures, most recently as Executive Director and Head of Exchange-Traded Commodities for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at UBS Ltd.
- Guy Scott joins CFN Services Leading Global Capital Markets Sales

- CBOE Holdings Inc. announced that Chicago Board Options Exchange has promoted five staff members to officer positions. The promotions were approved at the most recent Board of Directors meeting.
--Lita Frazier was named Vice President, Government Relations. She will continue to serve as CBOE’s voice in Washington, leading CBOE’s government relations efforts at the federal, state and local levels. Frazier, who joined CBOE in 2006, is a graduate of The George Washington University.
--Alicia Goldberg was named Vice President, Statistical Analysis. She will continue to direct CBOE’s statistical product offerings for Trading Permit Holders and Market Data Express (MDX). Goldberg, who is a 34-year veteran of CBOE, studied computer science.
--Jim Lubin, who is Senior Managing Director, CBOE Futures Exchange (CFE), was also named Vice President, CBOE. He will continue to serve as head of CFE’s operations and business development efforts, a role he has held since 2011. Lubin received his M.B.A. and bachelor’s degrees from Adelphi University.
--Andy Spiwak was named Vice President, Regulatory Services. He will continue to lead enforcement programs for CBOE. Spiwak, a 27-year veteran of CBOE, is a graduate of The John Marshall Law School and University of Wisconsin - Madison.
