Cocoa (NYBOT:CCK14)

General Comments: Cocoa closed higher and once again started to turn short term trends up on the charts. Ideas of tight supplies provided the most support. Cotton (NYBOT:CTK14)

General Comments: Futures were mostly higher. The domestic cash market remains very tight and is supporting futures prices in the front months. Worries about demand down the road, especially from China, has hurt price action overall. The domestic cash market has been strong due to very limited offers against the good demand. Most producers upper to be sold out, and spinners in the east are forced to pay up to get supplies. However, many think that demand can start to fade now with the high prices and buying interest is less at this time in futures. Brazil conditions are reported to be good in Bahia with warm temperatures, but the state needs rain and should get more this week. Warmer temperatures are slowly returning to production areas in the United States and there has been some initial fieldwork done in far southern areas.
