Treasuries end week on ominous note

Ten-year Treasuries(CBOT:TYM14) left behind higher earlier levels to settle relatively unchanged despite concerns for heightened weekend unrest in Crimea.  The single session candle pattern is that of a 'bearish shooting star'.

This pattern is of greater interest because it is near levels seen for earlier corrective action. There have been a couple interesting candlestick patterns recently in the 10-year. In early February there was a bearish 'harami' that put an end to a 3-handle + advance. In early March, a bearish 'hanging man' showed and ushered in a four-session 2.5 handle correction.  We will monitor with interest this candle formation to see if it is confirmed on Monday.

Have a great weekend.
