Trading Places: Newedge names Combes & Borgel co-heads of commodities business

Newedge announced at Francois Combes and Franck Borgel were appointed as Global Co-Heads of Commodities & Currencies business and will join the firm’s executive committee.

CBOE appointed John Deters as Chief Strategy Officer, succeeding Richard DuFour who will retire at the end of the year. Deters previously worked at Barclays as VP of Financial Institutions Group, Investment Banking.

OCC announced that Richard Wallace  has joined OCC as Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer. Previously, Wallace a partner at Foley & Lardner LLP in Washington.

The Securities and Exchange Commission announced that it has named Sebastian Gomez Abero as chief of the Office of Small Business Policy.

Global Trading Systems announced it has hired Steven Reich as Head of FX and Commodities Liquidity Solutions.

Federation of European Securities Exchanges appointed Christian Katz as its new president. Katz currently is CEO of SIX Swiss Exchange.

OptionsCity Software announced that David Fisher, CEO of Enova International, has been named to its board of directors. Fisher is recognized for his contributions to optionsXpress, the online brokerage where he served as CEO from 2007 until 2012.

Clark Capital Management Group announced that it has entered into an agreement to have Main Point Advisors, Inc. sub-advise the Navigator Duration Neutral Bond Fund. Jonathan Fiebach, CIO of Main Point Advisors, will focus on investments in the $3.7 trillion municipal bond market and will hedge against risks from rising interest rates.
