Stock indexes power higher, but Dow lags

Weekly Review: MAAD & CPFL Analysis

Conclusion

The party in the stock market continued last week, but not everybody was wearing party hats. While it could turn out the spoiled sports, as measured by the Dow 30 and Daily MAAD, will jump for some of the fun to the extent they will make new highs soon, it is nevertheless interesting that those two bellwethers have so far refused to make new highs with SPX, COMPX, VALUA, and TFY.

There’s a possibility the small negative divergences in the Dow and Daily MAAD will soon be erased and that the bullish party will continue, but the bottom line to all of this is relatively simple – either new highs by the Dow 30 and Daily MAAD are made. Or they are not. The former keeps the bull trend alive. The latter does not.
