Trading Places: Roberts to head CME Europe

Robert Ray, currently Managing Director, Products and Services, will become Chief Executive Officer of CME Europe. CME launched CME Clearing Europe in May 2011, and recently applied to create a London-based derivatives exchange.

Hamed Ali was appointed the acting CEO of Nasdaq Dubai. Ali joined the company earlier this month as chief operating officer. He previously was the exchange’s executive officer, and also served as COO of the Dubai International Finance Centre Authority.

Lawrence Latimer joined R.J. O’Brien & Associates (RJO) as senior vice president, Institutional Brokerage. Latimer has 25 years of experience in institutional futures and options brokerage, most recently as a director at Credit Suisse.

Donna Milrod joined the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) as chief administrative officer, effective mid-October. She previously was deputy CEO of Deutsche Bank North America.

Oliver Corbett was named CFO of LCH.Clearnet, replacing the interim CFO Jeffrey Hughes. Corbett most recently served as Finance Director of Novae Group. His prior worked experience also includes a stint at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson.

John Paul Broussard joined Kawaller & Co. as a vice president with responsibility for business development and client services in the financial services industries. He has 20 years of experience as a risk management consultant, researcher and professor of finance.

Fred Tomczyk, chief operating officer of TD Ameritrade, Martin Brand, managing director of Blackstone Group and Matthew Nimetz, advisory director of General Atlantic, were appointed to Knight Capital’s board of directors.

Gary DeWaal, group general counsel of Newedge, is retiring after 26 years with the company. He will continue to act as a special advisor on regulatory and international affairs at the Paris-based brokerage.

Abdul Wahid Al Ulama is now an independent director at the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX). He previously was a senior advisor at Mubadala GE Capital PJSC, and is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DSFA).

Kyle Kupiec was appointed as a managing director in the Prime Brokerage Services Group at Concept Capital Markets, LLC. He comes to the firm from Shoreline Trading Group, where he worked for 15 years, most recently as a principal.
