Second system error halts Tokyo derivatives trade

Aug. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Tokyo Stock Exchange Group Inc.’s second major system error in seven months halted trading of Topix index futures, Japanese government bond futures and options today.

The error occurred from around 9:20 a.m., spokesman Naoya Takahashi said in a phone interview. The exchange suffered its biggest disruption in six years on Feb. 2 as a computer glitch halted trading for 3.5 hours in 241 securities including shares of Sony Corp. and Hitachi Ltd.
