Bodson takes up DTCC reins and other industry moves

Michael C. Bodson was elected president and chief executive officer of the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), effective July 1. Bodson currently is chief operating officer and succeeds Donald F. Donahue, who will retire at the end of July.

Christine Gase was named director of practice management at AMTD.  Prior to joining AMTD, she worked for Wachovia Securities.

Charles Lucas was named head of European equity capital markets at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods (KBW). Based in London, Lucas will oversee public and private placements of common stock and other hybrid equity securities. He comes to KBW from Royal Bank of Scotland.

Diance C. Blizzard was promoted to associate director for regulatory policy and investment adviser regulation at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Blizzard has been with the SEC for 12 years, most recent serving as managing executive in the Division of Investment Management.

Tom Goodwin has joined Russell Investments as a senior research director for Russell Indexes. He was most recently a principal and founder of Wealth Econometrics and served as the Chief Economist for King County, Wash. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at Russell in a variety of roles including senior research analyst for the investment division, head of capital markets research in London and director of portfolio strategies.

Alexandra M. Albright was named chief compliance officer at CBOE Holdings for its affiliated exchanges. Albright served from 2007 to present as an attorney for Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago, most recently concentrating on compliance, litigation and corporate finance matters. 

Jeff Pollack was named chief financial officer for the Americas at Newedge. Pollack joins Newedge from Mizuho Securities USA, most recent serving as chief financial officer and chief operating officer for the company.

Chow Chung-kong was appointed board director at Hong Kong Exchange. Chow previously was head of rail operator MTR Corp.

Peter Leukert was hired as chief information officer at NYSE Euronext. Since 2007, Mr. Leukert has been CIO of Commerzbank, in charge of all applications and IT infrastructure.
