BATS Global Markets announced the iShares MSCI Norway Capped Investable Market Index Fund began trading on BATS Exchange, the first of nine new exchange traded funds sponsored by BlackRock, Inc. iShares® ETF business.

Deutsche Borse introduced a new “Top of Book” order type on its Xetra equities platform. This new order type will allow traders to “jump the queue” and trade before other participants, but only if their order reduces the spread of the Xetra order book.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced that it began offering trading in options on the CBOE Emerging Markets ETF Volatility Index (VXEEM).

CBOE Futures Exchange launched futures trading on the Radar Logic 25-Metropolitan Statistical Area RPX Composite Index (futures symbol: RPXCP). The index tracks U.S. residential housing values as a whole and is one of several Radar Logic 28-Day Real Estate indexes on which CFE may offer futures contracts.

HKEx started trading volatility futures on February 20, based on the HSI Volatility (VHSI) index last April, which is based on real-time prices of the Hang Seng Index Options listed on HKEx.

BATS Global Markets announced it had received approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to implement its new Competitive Liquidity Provider (CLP) program.

Learn Bonds and Bond Moves had formal launches in February. Learn Bonds focuses on investor education. The site is designed as a resource for investors interested in bonds, annuities, and interest bearing bank products. Bond Moves focuses on providing trade ideas and market commentary. The site aggregates content on bond ETFs, interest rate futures, and individual bonds.

VelocityShares launched the first-to-market 3x leveraged long and inverse Brent Crude, Crude, and Natural Gas ETPs and the first-to-market 2x leveraged long and inverse Copper ETPs.

ICE Futures Europe introduce futures contracts on European Union Aviation Allowances (EUAAs), subject to regulatory approval.
