The ADP employment report for November, released on Wednesday, showed a seasonally adjusted increase of 206,000 private sector jobs, creating optimism for tomorrow's employment numbers.
The strong report was girded by a 20,000–job upward revision in its October report, which has led analysts to revise estimates for tomorrow’s Bureau of Labor Statistics employment situation report. A poll of MarketWatch analysts is calling for a November increase in nonfarm payrolls of 125,000. The Wall Street Journal consensus for tomorrow’s nonfarm payroll report in 131,000 and its consensus range is 90,000 to 175,000.
The consensus on unemployment is that it will remain at 9.0%.
