Newedge snags Guillaume for deputy CEO

Françoise Guillaume was appointed global chief operating officer and deputy CEO at Newedge. Guillaume joins from Société Générale where she most recently was chief financial officer for SG Group Management Resources. "I’m looking forward to helping us deliver solutions to our clients and maintaining our competitive advantage through flawless execution in our support and control teams," she says. Guillaume is based in Paris and also will participate as a member of the Newedge executive committee.

Gary Morsches was named head of global energy business at CME Group. Morsches most recently worked as partner and managing director for Boston Consulting Group.

Alan van Griethuysen was named president of the Association of Futures Markets. He currently is an executive director at NYSE Euronext.

Tomas Ljunglöf was appointed CFO of Orc Group. He has been a consultant for the last two years and was CFO of Telenor Sweden prior.

Trevor Spanner was appointed managing director of post-trade services at the London Metals Exchange. Spanner previously was COO at European Central Counterparty Ltd.

Denzil Jenkins was named head of compliance and regulation at the London Stock Exchange, effective in 2012.

Roger Barton was appointed a non-executive director on the board of directors at ICE Clear Europe. Barton is a director for the Financial Reform Consultancy, and formerly was head of Eurpean e-commerce for Goldman Sachs.

Eisso VanderMeulen has joined the Newedge Prime Brokerage Origination & Structuring team. Previously, he worked on the FX clearing and execution platform for R.J. O’Brien.

Cheryl Friedlander Turner was appointed vice president of institutional sales at QuantumFX.

Quentin Soanes was elected vice-chairman of the Baltic Exchange. Soanes is a founding shareholder and main board director of Braemar Seascope PLC.

Steve Kilcullen was hired by Nomura as head of flow derivatives sales. Kilcullen joins from UBS Securities, where he most recently was head of hedge fund flow derivative sales.

Kevin C. O’Connor joined Point Capital Partners (PCP) as a partner. He also will serve as a managing director of Point Capital Markets, the wholly-owned broker-dealer subsidiary of PCP. He previously was a managing director and co-head of fixed income at SecondMarket.

David Trude was appointed an independent director at Chi-X Australia. Trude has 30 years of experience in the stockbroking industry, and has been CEO of Credit Suisse Australia.

William McKeown was appointed head of North American sales for Instinet’s Meet the Street corporate access platform. He previously worked at Knight Capital.

Niklaus Santschi was appointed CEO of SIG Group’s integrated payments services division. Santschi has been head of business development & sales within the multipay division and CEO of SIX Pay since 2008.

Vinay Mahajan was appointed treasurer at MF Global. Mahajan most recently was at Fortress Investment Group.

David May was appointed head of Asia equity research at HSBC Holdings Plc. May previously was head of European equity research at HSBC Holdings Plc.

Richard Leung was appointed senior vice-president at HKEx. He also was named co-head of its IT division.
