HKEx is planning to develop a clearinghouse for OTC derivative trades according to the Hong Kong Economic Journal and may seek a Chinese partner for the venture.

Singapore Exchange (SGX) today welcomed its first Chinese member, GF Futures (Hong Kong).

NSE launched derivative contracts on S&P 500 and the DJIA, which are aimed at providing “Indian investors easy access to US markets in Indian market hours.

HKEx introduced two additional December contract months, including December 2014 and December 2015, for its HSI and HSCEI Dividend Point index futures, starting September 12.

CBOE Holdings announced that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved its rule filing to launch, on a pilot basis, SPXpm, its proposed new S&P 500 Index option product.

CBOE Futures Exchange announced that the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) futures contract opening time moves to 7:00 a.m. from 7:20 a.m., pending regulatory approval.
