Emil van Essen snags TT VP

Russ Rausch was hired as chief operating officer at Emil van Essen. Rausch, who most recently served as executive vice president of global buyside for Trading Technologies (TT), will manage finance, operations and investor relations for van Essen. "I am fortunate to join van Essen," Rausch says, "their performance, growth, risk management and non-correlation in the CTA space are very compelling."

Mark Price was named group COO at ICAP. Price joins ICAP from Deutsche Bank where he was COO for Global Credit and Emerging Market Debt.

Peter Reitz was named head of the European Energy Exchange (EEX) at Eurex. Reitz has accompanied the development of EEX as a member of the supervisory board since 2007.

Shelton Unger was appointed director of plan sponsor sales at Russell Indexes. Prior to joining Russell, Unger spent 25 years with Vanguard.

Mike Stewart was hired at UBS AG as co-head of global equities. Prior to joining UBS, Stewart was global co-head of equities at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Michel Finzi was appointed senior vice president and head of U.S. equities at Nasdaq OMX Transaction Services. Finzi previously was managing director and global head of business development at ConvergEx RealTick.

John Spiegel was appointed vice president, interest rate business development for NYSE Liffe U.S. Most recently, he was founder and president of Eaton Capital, a listed derivatives consultancy business.

Jamila Piracci was hired as vice president of OTC derivatives at the National Futures Association (NFA). Piracci comes to the NFA from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Urs Wieland was appointed CEO of SIX Securities Services’ clearing and CCP business, Six x-clear. Wieland has been with SIX Securities Services since 1996 and most recently was head of operation risk management and deputy CEO at SIX x-clear.
