MF Global taps another Goldman exec

David Simons joined MF Global Holdings as global head of operations. Prior to joining MF Global, Simons was a managing director at Goldman Sachs, where he spent 24 years in a variety of roles and leadership positions. "When I heard about the vision and strategy that Jon [Corzine] and Brad [Abelow] have laid out to transition MF Global into a commodities-focused investment bank, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to contribute to this company's success story," he says.

Benita Levy also joined MF Global Holdings as co-head of the firm's Chicago office. Prior to joining MF Global, Ms. Levy was a senior vice president at FTN Financial Capital Markets.

Julien Le Noble joined CME Group as head of its Asia Pacific office. Before joining CME Group, Le Noble was head of equities, Asia Pacific for Newedge.

Keith Meekins was named CEO of Daiwa Capital Markets Europe Limited (Daiwa Europe). Previously, Meekins was head of fixed income at Daiwa.

Julie Heng was appointed vice president and head of commodities at Singapore Exchange (SGX). Heng joins SGX from Mercuria Energy Trading.

Michael Dolan joined Newedge as head of EdgeConnect. He joins from Instinet where he was a managing director.

Mary Savoie was named executive director at the Options Industry Council (OIC). She retains her position as first vice president, industry services for OCC. Alan Grigoletto also joined OIC as director of education. Prior, Grigoletto served as the head of business development at the Boston Options Exchange (BOX).

James Chen was appointed director of technical research and education at FXDD. Chen previously served as chief technical strategist for FX Solutions.

Paolo Gilardi was appointed head of U.S. foreign exchange sales at TradingScreen Inc. Gilardi previously worked in senior roles at ING Capital Markets and Credit Agricole in New York.

Hank Paulson, former Goldman Sachs CEO and U.S. Treasury Secretary, was appointed a distinguished senior fellow at the Harris School of Public Policy Studies at the University of Chicago.

Robert E. Plaze was named deputy director in the Division of Investment Management at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Diane C. Blizzard was named managing executive of the same division.

Stephen Roussin was named president at Campbell & Company. Prior, Roussin was managing director and head of investment solutions for UBS Wealth Management Americas

Takashi Kimori was named head of the representative office Japan at Clearstream. Kimori most recently worked as deputy general manager of the risk control division at Yamaguchi Financial Group.

Tom Mallon joined Interactive Data's desktop solutions product management team as global director of energy and commodities. His prior experience includes several years with Thomson Reuters as head of commodities & energy for the Americas.
