CFTC tackles effective dates for Dodd-Frank

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) issued a proposal on June 14, 2011 that would postpone effective dates for some rulemakings under Dodd-Frank Title VII related to the trading and clearing of swaps. The CFTC and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) have struggled with the timeline and the SEC discussed postponing sections of Title VII last week.
