German high court says Deutsche Bank AG liable

Deutsche Bank AG failed to convey the risks of interest-rate swaps to a client, according to a ruling by Germany's high court. The court ordered the bank to pay a German bathroom supplier that took the bank's hedging advice the equivalent of about $770,000.

The ruling is significant because it could potentially trigger additional suits regarding OTC interest rate swaps.
