Sheng brings structured products to RJO

Hilton T. Sheng was named senior vice president, structured products for R.J. O’Brien. Sheng most recently served as director and senior energy derivatives marketer for Hudson Capital Energy. "I’m excited to join RJO at this critical time in the industry. I believe the firm is well positioned to benefit from significant growth over the next few years due to the ongoing global derivatives reform," he says. Sheng will work out of the firm’s New York office.

David Maynard was named vice president, global metals group at R.J. O’Brien as the company moves to expand its metals division. Maynard came from Ebullio Capital Management; a commodity hedge fund.

Yvonne J. Downs was appointed chief operating officer of Jefferies’ recently formed futures division. Previously, Downs was head of futures, commodities and SEF compliance at ICAP North America.

Greg Fleming was appointed president of global wealth management at Morgan Stanley. Fleming previously ran the brokerage division at Merril Lynch.

Craig Ross was appointed president at Apex Futures. He previously was vice president at Apex.

Harriet Hunnable was named managing director, metals products at CME Group. Most recently, Hunnable was senior manager at Macquarie Bank in London.

Jarred Kessler joined Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. as global head of equities. Kessler joins Cantor from Credit Suisse.

Mike Plunkett was named to the board of directors at Firm58. Plunkett was formerly president at Instinet North America.

Nigel Ekern was appointed president of Quest Partners LLC. He was formerly COO and co-founder of the hedge fund company Noroton Capital Management.

Jean Cawley was named chief compliance officer at The Options Clearing Corporation. She adds these responsibilities to her position as senior vice president and deputy general counsel.

Jonathan S. Sokobin was named acting director of the SEC’s division of risk, strategy and financial innovation. Sokobin previously was deputy director and managing executive of the same division. Askari Foy was promoted to associate regional director for examinations in the agency’s Atlanta regional office. He has served as an assistant regional director for the past three years.

Ronald Jordan was named chief data officer at The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC). Jordan joined DTCC after spending the past 26 years at NYSE Euronext.

Samantha Cameron joined Newedge as head of transition management, EMEA. Before joining Newedge, Cameron was running the transition team for equity prime brokerage services at UBS. Guido Castiglioni joined Newedge in the role of ATS relationship manager. Castiglioni previously was with Trading Technologies.

Gay Huey Evans joined ISDA as a vice chairman of the board of directors and non-executive chairman of Europe for ISDA. Most recently she served as vice chairman of investment banking and investment management at Barclays Capital.
