Rosenthal named Morgan Stanley COO

Jim Rosenthal was named chief operating officer at Morgan Stanley. In his new role, Rosenthal will handle the integration of the New York investment bank’s brokerage joint venture with Citigroup’ Smith Barney, of which it holds a 51% stake. Previously, he was head of corporate strategy at the bank.

Edemir Pinto was appointed to the board of directors at CME Group.

Nancy A. Westwick was appointed chief compliance officer at R.J. O’Brien.

Andrei Kirilenko was appointed chief economist at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Matthew Audette was appointed chief financial officer at E*Trade.

Patrick Bourbon was promoted to chief investment officer of ProManage.
