CME tells CFTC ban on EFFs not anti-competitive

CME Group told the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) that rules it has in place at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) banning exchanges for futures (EFFs) trades is not anti-competetive towards competitor ELX Futures LP. The contested EFFs would allow a simple way to move Treasury futures contracts opened at CBOT to ELX. The CFTC had previously sided with ELX. CME Group's latest action is a 70-page letter addressed to CFTC Chairman Gary Gensler.
