The European Union will require clearing for forex derivatives: Reports

Currency contracts aren't expected to dodge new European clearing requirements for derivatives, according to several reports.

The measure is part of a larger package of proposals that also would limit the size of individual speculative trades. It comes amid a rising furor in the region to introduce significantly more restrictive rules on European financial markets.
