FINRA wants to make more broker info public

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) wants you to have access to more information about current and former securities brokers.

FINRA said last week that it will petition the Securities and Exchange Commission for the authority to expand the information available through BrokerCheck, the non-governmental group's website for exploring the professional backgrounds of brokers registered with FINRA.
