FDIC's Bair takes on the Fed

"...much of the crisis may have been prevented" if the Fed had acted sooner, Bair testifies.

FDIC Chairman Sheila Bair testified to the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission that much blame for the subprime loan troubles was due to the Federal Reserve's lack of action to set rules on these loans as far back as seven years ago. Read her testimony here.
