Dollar makes new lows

The dollar made new lows Wednesday that date back to August 2008, before the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers sparked the global credit crisis.

Perhaps an optimist would say that this is a good sign, a return to normalcy as the dollar rallied due to its safe haven status during the crisis. On the other hand most realists understood that our economy and the dollar were in deep trouble long before September 2008.

There doesn't appear anything between the dollar and a test of last year's lows.
