Rowsell to lead MF Global in Europe

James Rowsell was named managing director of Europe for MF Global Ltd. Previously he was MF Global’s global head of equities, and before that he was head of equity sales in Europe for Citigroup. “[Rowsell’s] considerable experience, strong relationships and proven leadership will play an important part in expanding MF Global’s presence in Europe,” said MF Global CEO Bernard Dan in a statement.

David L. Shuler was named managing director, alliance and venture management at CME Group. Previously, he was senior vice president, exchange solutions for NYSE Technologies.

Andrew Lamb was named CEO, CME Clearing Europe.

Shakil Riaz was named managing director of Arden Asset Management, LLC. Previously he was with JPMorgan.

Nicholas Burns joined Aspen Strategy Group as director. Previously he was Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs.

Eric W. Noll was appointed executive vice president of Nasdaq OMX Transaction Services.

John P. Riley was named director of legislative affairs at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Previously, he was deputy chief of staff to the Committee on Agriculture at the House of Representatives. Scott Schneider was named director of public affairs at the CFTC. Previously he was communications director for the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship in the U.S. Senate.

T.S. Narayanasami was named managing director and CEO of the United Stock Exchange of India.

Robert Ascher, Charles Prindiville and Judson Schumacher joined Prudential Bache Commodities’ sales team. All three previously were at UBS.

Stewart Macbeth was named general manager of the trade information warehouse at the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation.

Stéphane Lannoy joined RTS Realtime Systems Group as managing director, Asia Pacific. Mark van Vugt was promoted to global head of sales at RTS.

Peg Reed joined Interbank FX as managing director of global sales.
