Brodsky calls for SEC/CFTC merger

Last Thursday Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) Chairman and CEO Bill Brodsky HYPERLINK "http://www.cboe.com/AboutCBOE/special/TestimonyByWilliamBrodsky07-17-09.pdf" recommended a merger of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Brodsky, who played a role in crafting the Obama administration’s blueprint for regulatory reform applauded language in the proposal asking for harmonization of the two regulators and asked the administration to go a step further calling for an actual merger.
