The New York Mercantile Exchange will introduce a futures contract based on prevailing market prices for hot-rolled steel coil in the U.S. Midwest region early in the fourth quarter of 2008. www.nymex.com

The Chicago Board Options Exchange created two new volatility benchmarks -- the CBOE Gold Volatility Index and the CBOE EuroCurrency Volatility Index. www.cboe.com

The Intercontinental Exchange extended through December 31, 2008, its program in which exchange members of CME, CBOT, NYMEX, CBOE, and International Securities Exchange may trade the “mini size” Russell Index futures and options on futures contracts at a rate of $0.30 per side, inclusive of exchange and clearing fees. The program includes both the Russell 2000 mini and the Russell 1000 mini futures and options on futures contracts. www.theice.com

U.S. Futures Exchange announced an exclusive licensing agreement with Deutsche Börse to launch a mini-sized U.S. dollar-denominated DAX futures contract. www.usfe.com

Dow Jones Indexes launched the Dow Jones India Titans 30, a blue-chip index for India. Also, BNP Paribas Asset Management signed a licensing agreement with Dow Jones Indexes and STOXX Ltd. to issue financial products on the Dow Jones STOXX Asia/Pacific 600 ex Japan, the Dow Jones South Korea Titans 30, the Dow Jones CASE Egypt Titans 20 and the Dow Jones Turkey Titans 20 Indexes. Also, Dow Jones Indexes and the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) launched the Dow Jones/CCX European Carbon Index and Dow Jones/CCX Certified Emissions Reductions (CER) Index. www.djindexes.com
