The New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex) introduced eight new cash-settled electricity futures contracts for the Texas market. Also, Nymex introduced 15 new financially-settled swap futures contracts including an EIA on-highway diesel swap, various gasoil swaps, two heating oil swaps, two fuel oil swaps and a Gulf Coast diesel vs. jet fuel swap futures contract, and launched a New York Harbor ethanol futures contract.

CME Group launched futures and options on futures on the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' nonfarm payroll data. Also, CME Group’s options on futures contracts for corn, wheat, soybeans, soybean meal, soybean oil, rough rice and oats are now available for electronic trading on CME Globex.

Eurex, the International Securities Exchange (ISE), and the Options Clearing Corporation will create a transatlantic trading and clearing link allowing Eurex customers to access ISE's options market using their existing Eurex connections.

The Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX) began trading hard red spring wheat options electronically during the day. MGEX also announced plans for side-by-side options trading.

IntercontinentalExchange and Natural Gas Exchange now offer clearing and settlement services for physical OTC natural gas contracts at the Henry Hub delivery point.

Singapore Exchange Limited announced rule amendments allowing product offerings on a broader suite of asset classes in the securities market.

ISE will launch ISE Alternative Markets with the introduction of derivatives auctions based on the ReXX Commercial Property Indices.

U.S. Futures Exchange launched trading of its USD SENSEX future, which corresponds with Bombay Stock Exchange’s SENSEX index values.

NYSE Euronext launched high dividend indexes based on its European national blue chip indexes AEX, BEL 20, CAC 40 and PSI 20.

Rand Financial Services now offers connectivity to the Mexican Derivatives Exchange through Patsystems.,


ICAP will launch non-deliverable forwards on seven Asian currencies and the Russian rouble on its electronic foreign exchange trading platform EBS.

OANDA Corporation lowered its standard spread on EUR/USD to 0.9 pips.


Dow Jones Indexes launched the Dow Jones – AIG Platinum Sub-Index, the Dow Jones – AIG Lead Sub-Index and the Dow Jones – AIG Tin Sub-Index..

Russell Investments added 70 initial public offerings (IPOs) to the Russell Global Index, including 12 IPOs that will be added to the U.S. broad-market Russell 3000 Index. Also, Russell will post its official new membership lists on its Web site for the Russell Global, Russell 3000, Russell 1000, Russell 2000 Index, Russell Midcap Index and Russell Microcap Index on June 30.


OptionsHouse now offers advanced order tickets including triggers and trailing stops to program future trades. Also, Scottrade is launching a new options trading platform powered by OptionsHouse called Scottrade OptionsFirst. OptionsHouse also added an integrated message center to its electronic trading platform.

OptionsCity launched its electronic trading system, OptionsCity Metro.


Dow Jones launched the Horizons BetaPro DJ-AIG Agricultural Grains Bull Plus ETF and Horizons BetaPro DJ-AIG Agricultural Bear Plus ETF on the Toronto Stock Exchange.


The Hall Light released the Million Dollar Challenge board game. launched Barchart WebStation, a real-time market data web-based application.

Trading Technologies (TT) and Credit Suisse Prime Services have entered into a software licensing agreement in which Credit Suisse Prime Services will offer TT's X_TRADER software to its commodity prime services hedge fund customers and internal trading desks. Also, TT will connect its X_TRADER platform to the Tokyo Financial Exchange
