The Philadelphia Stock Exchange is now trading World Currency Options on the British pound. The options are quoted in U.S. dollars per unit of the underlying British pound and the premium is paid and received in U.S. dollars. www.phlx.com.
The Chicago Board of Trade plans to launch a stock index futures contract based on the Dow Jones U.S. Real Estate Index in the first quarter. The electronically traded Dow Jones U.S. Real Estate Index futures contract will allow market participants to capitalize on changes in the real estate sector of the stock market and manage commercial real estate exposure. www.cbot.com.
