Euronext.liffe has launched the EuroMTS Government Bond Index contracts, which will allow investors to gain broad exposure for the first time to Euro zone government debt and to the individual country credits of France, Germany and Italy on a single trading platform. The contracts will comprise futures contracts on the following indices: EuroMTS Eurozone Government Broad Index (7 to 10 years), MTS Deutschland Government Index (7 to 10 years), MTS France Government Index (7 to 10 years), MTS Italy Government Index (7 to 10 years). Also, Euronext.liffe will launch rapeseed oil futures and options. The contract will be the first non-genetically modified organism (GMO) edible oils futures contract in the world. www.euronext.com.
The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) and Hapoalim Securities USA Inc. have launched the Hapoalim American Israeli Index (HAI). The index is an equal dollar weighted index consisting of 15 highly capitalized Israeli companies that trade significant volumes of ordinary shares or American Depository Receipts (ADR) in the United States. Susquehanna Investment Group (SIG) will act as the specialist. www.phlx.com.

The International Securities Exchange (ISE) in collaboration with Revere Data LLC, have launched the ISERevere Wal-Mart Supplier Index, reflecting the value of 30 companies with annual revenues attributable to Wal-Mart ranging from 74% to 16%. Included in the index are diversified consumer products, entertainment products and services, packaged consumer foods and snacks and healthcare and pharmaceuticals. The index also consists of Energizer Holdings Inc., General Mills Inc., Mattel Inc. and Playtex Products Inc. www.isestock.com.
The New York Mercantile Exchange Inc. (Nymex) will introduce Nymex iPort, a suite of energy and metals index futures contracts designed to allow hedging in the Nymex and Comex markets using futures indexes. The contracts will be available for trading on the Nymex trading floor and the CME Globex electronic trading platform and for clearing through Nymex ClearPort clearing.
Also, Nymex now lists four new electricity options contracts for trading on ClearPort. The new contracts are: ISO New England calendar month LMP swap options, AEP-Dayton calendar month LMP swap options, Cinergy calendar month LMP swap options and Northern Illinois calendar month LMP swap options.
Also, Nymex has launched its first energy index futures contract, 3-2-1 Plus as part of the Nymex iPort suite of index futures contracts, allowing traders to manage risk across their energy portfolios with a single contract. It is available on the trading floor, the Globex electronic trading platform and for exchange of futures for swaps (EFS) transactions on ClearPort. The contract is cash-settled and comprised of light sweet crude oil, RBOB gasoline and heating oil. Also, Nymex has introduced six new soft commodity futures contracts on the Nymex ClearPort clearing and trading platform: cocoa, coffee, cotton, frozen concentrated orange juice, sugar #11 and sugar #14. Nymex anticipates listing these contracts on CME Globex by early January 2007. For all contracts, the initial contract month will be March 2007. www.nymex.com.
