Bonds "US" (Dec)

Coverage for Oct. 18 Tuesday's open surged to and through the 110'28 bounce limit back to 111'06. A pullback through the noon hour tested 110'28 as support. A close under 110'24 is still needed to resume the decline's momentum. Any delay would allow buyers to gain traction.(Basis Dec) Short above 110'28 (9/13) or under 110'06 for 109'16 and 108'08 targets, 110'26 stop (met 9/19)

Crude Oil "CL" - mini "QM" - (Nov)

Coverage for Oct. 18 Slightly higher highs at Tuesday's open were rejected by a decline through the noon hour that retraced two-thirds of Monday's gain. The pullback bottomed at 58'85, and any lower would trigger another downleg that initially targets Thursday's 57'90 close, and potentially a brief probe of new lows to form a more durable bottom.(Basis Nov) Long above 60'75 (met 10/5) for65'50 and 68'50 targets,59'50 stop (met 10/10) PREVIOUSLY... (Basis Nov) Long under 62'00 (9/29) for65'50 and 68'50 targets,61'50 stop (met 10/2)

Gold "GC" - mini "YG" - (Dec)

Coverage for Oct. 18 Tuesday's open initially ranged around Monday's close but eventually broke lower to attack Monday's lows. It was Friday's inability to close above its opening highs that indicated the gain wasn't sustainable. This was still the case despite Monday's higher high. Tuesday's close was in the process of trying to maintain that much of the recovery, and the pattern is vulnerable to gapping back down under prior highs to erase Friday's gain.

(Basis Dec) Long from under 584'50 (9/14) for602'00 (met 9/27) and 620'00 targets, 603'00 stop (met 10/3?)

Dollar "DX" (Dec)

Coverage for Oct. 18

Tuesday's open immediately resumed the decline from Friday's highs, soon breaking under Monday's lows and eventually extending to the lowest levels in a week. Any bounces here need to be short and shallow to avoid letting buyers gain traction and avoid a larger pullback.

(Basis Dec) Long above 85'00 (9/7) for 86'30 (10/06) and 86'75 (10/11) targets, 85'35 stop (met 9/21)
